Initial provocation: Week 1
Ethical pet food sourced from %100 percent kiwi ingredients, higher welfare and environmentally sustainable operations.
- Also a product that focusses on the nutrition of the pet no fillers or ingredients your pet wouldn't naturally eat.
The problem:
The protein base of lower end pet foods are from questionable sources, highly treated, and unethically sourced.
The bulk of the product is grain or filler.
Pet food is imported and the standards are product do not meet the standards required for petted made in NZ. These lower standards also apply to the raw materials.
How our solution contributes to environmentally sustainable practice:
Creating demand for organic, free range and or wild raw materials adds value to the practices and animals thus promoting practices.
Production in-country lessens food miles.
Using by product materials repurposes waste, e.g. possum meat from fur industry.
