Week 7 alternatives

A few alternative solutions are

A donation site
Creating a donation site where hunters can donate meat or hunting access to raise money for alternatives to 1080. We could also set up a donation page for buying traps.

Sponsorship 
We could get businesses as sponsors onboard by creating a sticker for their products to attract consumer support from those in opposition to the poison.

Annual hunt
We could organise a hunt where the meat is sold to existing pet food manufacturers and profits go towards traps - precedents are the easter bunny hunt in Otago and the possum hunt in Te Puke.

Pet food
Made from Geese, Rabbit and Hare + others if we can get it

Human food 
Made from Geese, Rabbit and Hare + others if we can get it

Fur/skin trade
Focus on recovering the fur and skins

Lending traps
We use our profits for buying traps for us to us or lend out to other hunters/contractors that do the job for us. They get us the meat/fur.
